I could not just ask my secretary to buy some for me since I want to personally pick the rugs we will be having at home. So one night last week, just before I retire to bed, I logged online and check out the rug stores online and I had a grand time choosing which rugs will I be getting. There are different rugs to choose from with different designs and sizes. Different colors and materials used. I was picturing every part of our house as I browse over the collections of rugs online. Until finally after an hour of looking over the selections, I finally got the Area Rugs that I think would fit well in our house. I got the conventional style with an elegant design. I also went to the Cheap Rugs section and bought a few pieces for my own room. They look very durable and I know the quality are good as well. And just before I log off, I also bought some bath rugs with a Flamingo design. The last items I added on my shopping cart was an outdoor all weather rug that will do just fine in our porch. When I saw the final price of all my purchases, I was surprise to see that they do not cost as much as I was expecting them to be.
I am fifty years old, widow, no children but not alone. I have a home office and I work as a contributing editor in a big magazine company. I live well and I am enjoying it, soon I will be retiring but that’s fine with me, I already have a retirement plan and I am all set. It seems like I live alone but with a two hundred pound German Shepherd all over the the place, I do not feel alone, not a bit. He was a rescued dog and the once frail looking dog now looks like powerful man of the house. Dogs are better companion, they do not talk back on you when you scold them. They will listen to you when you have something to say. They are always excited when they see you come back home. They are always under your feet and they give you unconditional love and protection against intruders and strangers. They will not leave you when they saw good looking dogs.
Swiper have been with us for almost seven years now. He was a very good and smart dog. He was treated as part of the family and he could feel it. Every afternoon or early evenings, my husband usually go out with him for his daily walks. But one fateful afternoon a mad dog managed to escape his watchers as it was about to be impounded, it came to him and they had a brief fight. The mad dog was caught and our Swiper had a few bruises. We immediate brought him to our vet and his cuts were cured. The next day, he was acting weird. His vet told us that if we see something strange with him, we need to leash him and put a cover in his mouth and contact him. The awful news was broken to us. Our dog was infected by a mad dog virus and the virus was quickly spreading , he can not be cured anymore. We need to say goodbye to him. It was hard, very hard to say goodbye to someone that had been part of your family for many years. When the needle of death was injected to him, tears fell from our eyes.
